The Barnabas Project began serving the needy of the Chicago area in 1988 with housing and support for homeless and abused families. Today its ministries include:

  • Cornerstone Community Outreach - In the Uptown neighborhood, support for homeless and abused women and families -- CCO offers shelters for individuals and families and other neighborhood services
  • Leslie's Place - On the west side, a long running ministry providing housing and support for women just released from prison
  • Safe Families - A volunteer movement that connects the children of parents in distress with host families who offer their homes and support for vulnerable children
  • Young Men's Educational Network - Aiding the youth of the Lawndale neighborhood
  • Hope House - Hope House recently moved to Genoa in rural Chicago. It continues to serve youngsters from the Humbolt Park neighborhood in Chicago, as well as those from rapidly growing Hispanic areas in the city's northwest suburbs.
  • Celebrate Re-Entry--Provides regular Bible Study for ex-felons in McHenry county
  • Camping Ministry - Providing free summer camp experience for inner city kids served by Barnabas Project supported ministries
